I have transferred pleats to that fabric surface; - I have sought to create space & movement in the construction of the pattern surface; - the expression is created by hand, using the movement of the moment. I wanted to preserve the nuanced expression of the sketch & the execution was done digitally. With digital technology, it is possible to create larger sequences, almost endless textile banners, as opposed to the analogue printing process, where the size of the print screen sets its limits. Pleat Orange is part of Designmuseum Denmark's permanent collection since 2004.
